Christ
Above All - A
Musical for Lent
Sunday, March 9, 10:55 a.m. - This beautiful cantata, created by
Mark Brymer, takes some of today's best praise and worship songs by writers
such as Twila Paris, Lynn DeShazo, Paul Baloche and Darlene Zschech, and
integrates them with a scriptural retelling of Christ's last days on earth.
The presentation will include choral pieces by the Chancel Choir, soloists,
narration, and maybe even some visual surprises.
Maundy Thursday
Supper
& Communion Service
Thursday, March 20, 5:45 p.m. - We begin with a simple church-wide
supper in the Fellowship Hall. At 6:30, our worship service begins. It will
feature a presentation by Rev. Sam Nadler of Word of Messiah Ministries. He
will do a presentation of "The Messiah in the Passover," showing how the
elements of the traditional Jewish Seder meal point to Christ as the
Messiah. Both children and adults will enjoy this "show and tell"
presentation. Following Sam's talk, we will celebrate the Lord's Supper,
remembering the full extent of the Savior's love in giving himself for us.
Children's Easter
Party
Saturday, March 22, 10:30 a.m. -
All children, age two through fifth grade, are invited! Bring a basket (but
please leave the grass at home!) and a friend! Activities include crafts,
games, the Easter story, and of course an egg hunt. Refreshments will be
served.
Easter
Sunrise Service
Sunday, March 23, 7:00 a.m. - We herald the arrival of the most
triumphant day in the Christian year with a service led by our children and
youth! A light breakfast will be served in the Fellowship Hall
immediately afterwards.
Easter
Celebration
Sunday, March 23, 10:55 a.m. - We continue our celebration of the
Resurrection with wonderful music and an inspiring message from God's Word.
